The forest products industry in New Brunswick is embarking on a radical shift with regard to public engagement. Executive Director Mike Legere will speak to the association’s change in client focus, the new vision and how three key industry objectives will impact perceptions and policy.

Mike Legere assumed the role of Executive Director of the New Brunswick Forest Products Association in May of 2014. He is a graduate of Mount Allison University where he spent his early years working in research on the Deep Sea Drilling Project before starting a fifteen year forestry career with the Maritime Lumber Bureau in 1992. Following this, Mike served seven years with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation in Research and Information Transfer, International Trade and Community Development before returning to the forestry sector. He is a former board member of the Canadian Lumber Standards Accreditation Board, the Nova Scotia Home Builders Association, the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Atlantic Canada and is the current Vice President of Forest Protection Limited.
