Dr. Lisa Timonen
Dr. Liisa Timonen is the lead coordinator of the ERDI project. She is working as the head of international affairs being responsible over the internationalisation of Karelia UAS. Timonen has wide international networks and expertise in strategic internationalisation leading international projects and designing applied research in various development processes. All the projects discuss the development of regional networks where universities, businesses and other relevant organisations work together promoting the education and regional welfare with international impacts.
Ms. Sini-Tuuli Saaristo M.Sc. (Econ. & Bus. Adm.)
Sini-Tuuli Saaristo has graduated from University of Eastern Finland with Master of Science in Economic and Business Administration, majoring in Service Management. In her master thesis she studied the role of trust and trust building in multicultural organizations, specializing on the views of Finnish leaders. She works as a project coordinator in three different international EU funded projects (ECMT+, ERDI and SECURE), which focus on bioeconomy, regional development, energy efficiency, entrepreneurship and communication in multicultural teams.
Petri Juhani Raivo, Ph.D., Adjunct Professor
President and CEO of Karelia University of Applied Sciences
President and CEO of Karelia University of Applied Sciences in Finland, will share his experiences as director of Centre for Creative Industries, and member of the board of the North Karelia Chamber of Commerce. He has Some 120 scientific publications, various presentations and memberships in steering committees in various international conferences
Petri will share how universities of applied sciences are involve as regional developers and contributors to regional economy and businesses as well as innovation ecosystem.
