Keynote Speaker
Jamie Eddy is a partner in the Labour and Employment Group in the Fredericton, New Brunswick office of Cox & Palmer. Jamie has extensive experience representing employers in all aspects of employment, labour and human rights law including, wrongful dismissal lawsuits, human rights complaints, union certification applications, labour injunctions, grievance arbitrations, employment standards appeals, workers compensation appeals, preparation of employment contracts, employee policies, termination agreements and negotiation of collective agreements. Jamie is also actively involved with providing employers pro-active advice on various employment and labour law issues including the provision of pro-active training seminars and workshops. Jamie is:
- a member of the NB Human Resources Association,
- past chair of the Labour and Employment Section of the CBA, NB Branch,
- on the editorial board - Federated Press, Executive Employment,
- a lecturer of employment law at the University of New Brunswick,
- past member of the Board of Governors for the New Brunswick Community College,
- on the Board of the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers.
Moderator
Sally Wells is workplace consultant based in Fredericton.
She has combined a background in Social Work and Law to provide education and intervention in creating Respectful Workplaces.
Sally also conducts procedurally fair workplace harassment investigations in the private and public sector.
She also writes and evaluates Workplace Harassment and respectful Workplace Policies.

Shawn Quinlan is the Director of Human Resources/Administration and Assistant General Manager for Skillsoft in Canada. A graduate of the MBA program at UNB, Shawn has been actively involved in local, national, and international human resources for nearly 20 years.
Scott Keenan, Recruiter, Priority Personnel Inc.
Scott is a Recruiter with Priority Personnel Inc., an MBA graduate and CHRP certified. He has been recruiting in both the public and private sector for the past 4 years and writes his own blog where he gives advice to GenY and Millienials on job search strategies.
Andy Buyting, President, Carle Ventures Inc.
Andy is the developer of the Hiring Right Recruiting System, and works with organizations to hire A-Players using a customized recruiting process that screens for aptitude as well as cultural fit.
Cathy Colpitts, HR Generalist, Skillsoft
Cathy Colpitts is an HR Generalist currently employed with Skillsoft Canada. With over 20 years’ experience in Human Resources, her current focus is on recruitment and selection for most departments at Skillsoft’s Fredericton location.
