Presenter: Kelly A. Richard Bookkeeping Services
In this session you will learn what the "must dos" of bookkeeping are. What does CRA require? What kind of records must we keep? What's the most efficient use of our time when we have to do bookkeeping and don't really know where to start. This is NOT a Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) Workshop. This is for the new business owner who just needs to keep things organized throughout the year so he/she doesn't show up with a shoe box at income tax time. You will learn how to handle payroll, HST remittances, bank reconciliations and the filing system that work best. You will be shown how to do a spreadsheet on excel to keep track of your purchases and expenses throughout the year. There's no need to bring a laptop. We will go through a sample company for a month and see how it reconciles and balances at the end of each month.
