SOLD OUT - Mental Health Matters Day 2019
The Fredericton Chamber of Commerce encourages you to join us during Mental Health Week to learn life-improving tips on how to care for your mental health.
During this event, Corey Ferguson of the Canadian Mental Health Association of NB will speak on the following topics:
Mental Health & Employment: This presentation provides a basic overview of mental health and mental illness, a brief discussion of some of the stress related and work-life balance challenges faced by the Canadian workforce, as well as a brief overview of some core concepts related to supporting employees with mental health concerns in the work place. A brief review of local resources is also included.
Self-Care: This presentation discusses what self-care is, risks of not practicing self-care including an overview of job-related burnout, and the benefits of self-care. The presentation then reviews a process for building two types of self-care plans, before finishing with a discussion on self-compassion.
