Campaign encourage businesses to support the initiative and join the growing list of New Brunswick companies and organizations that “Choose Growth”
Fredericton, NB (August 2, 2018) – An alliance of six business associations representing more than 4,000 businesses in New Brunswick have launched an awareness website in advance of the upcoming New Brunswick election campaign. The site outlines the key priorities for economic improvement in province and offers companies aligning with the five priorities and opportunities to sign up and add their name and logo to the growing list of companies that support:
- A Private Sector Driven Economy
- Responsible Resource Development
- Improved Export Performance
- Labour Force Development
- Responsible Financial Management
Consisting of the Atlantic Provinces Chamber of Commerce, Conseil Economique du Nouveau Brunswick, the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce, the New Brunswick Business Council and the Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce, the group believes that New Brunswick has a choice to either manage growth or to manage decline and they have unanimously chosen growth. Growth in jobs, in population, in public revenues and in New Brunswick’s prosperity. The group is urging party leaders to address each of the five pillars for growth in their 2018 election platforms.
As part of the strategy, a new website, www.WeChooseGrowth.ca has been launched encouraging businesses to show their support and endorse the five pillars by adding their name or logo to the site. The group was formed in the summer of 2017 in order to assist government in creating a climate which attracts business investment to the province and encourages existing business to invest and grow here.
